Brides' fantasy weddings came to life at The Wedding Salon hosted at The London West Hollywood with an event that showcased the hottest trends for Summer 2011 with many of them involving cakes, sweets & gourmet cocktails! The ultimate trend for wedding day cuisine for Summer 2011 will be finding ways to have fun with your choice of desserts and cocktails. Pinkberry Catering showcased their delicious and refreshing frozen yogurt desserts and Shotgun Promotions revealed that brides will be looking for that twist on champagne cocktails by infusing them with muddled fruit or even flowers such as honeysuckle or hibiscus. The wine-savvy bride and groom are opting for wine selections from their favorite wineries such as Francis Ford Coppola for an extra special touch on their big day. Cake and Art revealed that brides are either opting for the super-traditional or going all out with Van Gogh inspired cakes painted with swirls and splashes of purples and greens, while Hansen’s Cakes revealed that you can never go wrong with a classic all white buttercream concoction. Deuce Events also kept things traditional and white, but incorporated a must for Summer 2011 weddings – the Cake Pop. Sweets don’t just end there for summer weddings, gourmet chocolate favors will be top choice this summer with luxury brands such as Patchi offering decadent favors that accent the wedding cake’s beautiful design.
