Real Wedding ~ Molly and Robert

Most brides would see rain on the day of their outdoor wedding as a major wedding nightmare, whereas Molly owner of Bella Bridesmaid in Tampa, FL saw it as an excuse for a playful wedding day accessory. Not to let the rain dampen her day, Molly and her bridesmaids slipped into some color coordinated rain boots, the perfect rainy day wedding accessory that made us fall in love with Molly and Robert's wedding at the farm at Old Edwards Inn and Spa photographed by Parker J. Pfister. Molly wore a stunning Anne Barge lace A-line gown with fitted corset and soft floral lace trim that she accentuated with a Champagne sash fashioned with a glittering brooch to cinch in the waist. Her bridesmaids wore pretty flamingo pink silk dupioni dresses from Lula Kate with feminine ruffle collar silhouette. Situated outside on the enchanting grounds of the Old Edwards Inn and Spa a tent provided the reception venue designed in a palette of pinks from fuchsia to rose petal accented with natural elements in deep chocolate, green, ivory and antique silver. A dark wood riddling wine rack adorned with leafy green garland and small bouquets of green antique hydrangea in each hole with place card tags greeted guests as they entered the space. With a beautifully draped all white tent dripping with chandeliers over the dance floor, Molly added a candy pink sash to her gown and danced the night away with family and friends. The night ended with a showering flower petal send off and a quick kiss in the back of the couple's getaway car where "Just Married," was scrolled across the window.

OPENING NIGHTS

The theme was Belle Epoque at the San Francisco Ballet opening Wednesday night.  Rolling out the red carpet for the cavalcade of couture, the most celebrated designer it seemed was Alexander McQueen living on through his art as social sceners paid him the ultimate tribute by wearing his most dramatic pieces.  Above: Always nailing a grand entrance, Deepa  Pakianathan does it again wearing a cocktail length dress and booties by the late McQueen.  The skirt is extraordinary with gold painted feathers draped with silk screened fabric.  Says Deepa, "The print is very special . . . it looks like a tapestry with angels . . ."

The ever elegant Yurie Pascarella in Alexander McQueen.  A real tour de force in winter dressing . . .
Suzy Kellems Dominik in a gown by Alexander McQueen.  The intricate gold shot embroidery and consistency of the pattern here  is indeed a work of art.
I've always thought Napa Valley fashion designer Karen Caldwell is the best billboard for her own creations. This piece, like most she designs carries the spirit of the great Edith Head. Karen is best known for incorporating simple lines in jewel and pastel tones. Her belts and sashes tied into pretty bows are definitely one of her trademarks.

Everyone knows I'm a believer in exquisite hairstyling.  Thanks to Melissa Barber it looks like we might be moving into an era of grand and gala hair for nights out.  This is one of my fav looks for topping off an elegant gown.

My piece of bread only belongs to me when I know that everyone else has a share, and that no one starves while I eat. ~ Leo Tolstoy

There are countless people in need living in communities and cities throughout our country who struggle to find their next meal or live without the basic necessities that most of us take for granted every day. You can help and get involved in your community by volunteering or donating to a local shelter or soup kitchen. Gather a group of friends, family or your wedding party and spend an afternoon or a day volunteering. Your time, your love and the kindness you share will make a difference in the world! Not only will your good works help those less fortunate, but your actions will also inspire others to help, creating an endless chain of good.

Our Weddings Unveiled team has put together this small list of shelters and soup kitchens in the Southern states surrrounding our homes. We know that there are so many more out there and we hope that you will choose to get involved with one of the organizations we have listed or a local organization in your community. Please feel free to add to our list by commenting to let others know of additional shelters, soup kitchens and organizations in your local area where our readers can volunteer or contribute. We can work together to help our neighbors in need!

Real Wedding ~ Molly and Bucky

Molly and Bucky found inspiration in their venue for their fall wedding, incorporating beautiful natural and rustic details into their wedding day at the farm at Old Edwards Inn and Spa, photographed by Kellie Kano Photography. The event was designed in a palette of mostly white, ivory, and peridot paired with natural earthy elements in khaki, brown and moss. Molly wore a sleek ivory gown with soft sweetheart neckline, beautiful floral embellishment at the bust and sleeves that gently draped off the shoulder. She added a pretty fingertip length veil trimmed in lace and carried a bouquet of mixed white and green blooms, including fluffy white ranunculus and fern curls. Her bridesmaids wore full length strapless gowns with ruched bust and empire waist in peridot, while Bucky and his groomsmen wore light khaki suits with white button downs and striped ties in peridot, white and hunter.

A variety of natural elements combined with florals, drapery and lanterns creating an enchanting atmosphere for the tented reception situated on the sprawling grounds of the Old Edwards Inn. The muted palette continued in the reception with the addition of a few colorful floral blooms in lavender, pink and light blue. Guest tables were draped in crisp white linens with moss colored runners and centerpieces in a variety of aged carved stone planters with fruits at its base and flickering candlelight in leaf and twine wrapped votives. White lanterns hung from the draped ceiling adding festive lighting over the dance floor, while the center pole of the tent wraped in branches and vines added to the natural organic feeling of the reception.
