Real Wedding ~ Whitney and Joey

It doesn't get more magical than the magnificent Biltmore estate nestled in the beautiful landscape of Asheville, NC. Built in the style of a French chateau with 125,000 acres of land, the Biltmore is America's largest home and one of the most stunning venues the South has to offer. Whitney and Joey chose the majestic setting for their beautiful fall nuptials photographed by Jere & Ashley Dotten Photography. Inspired by the season and the gorgeous landscapes and setting of the Biltmore the event was designed in a rich fall palette of burgundy, chocolate, white, mossy green, amber and saffron. Whitney wore a lovely A-line strapless gown with Champagne stitched embroidery, while her bridesmaids wore long strapless iridescent taffeta gowns in a deep burgundy and carried bouquets of mixed blooms in the fall palette. The groomsmen wore black suits with white button downs and vests and ties to match the girls burgundy gowns, while Joey wore a black vest and tie and beautiful pair of monogram cufflinks given to him as a wedding day gift from Whitney. The ceremony took place on the open-air veranda of the Lioncrest surrounded by deep green forest. White garden chairs lined the aisleway along with arrangements of burnt orange calla lilies, antique and white hydrangea blooms, twigs and dried lotus pods nestled on a bed of moss. White lanterns decorated the entrance to the aisle, while white rose petals adorned the aisleway which Whitney and her father walked down to a string quartet. With twinkle lights wrapped around the beams of the veranda, the two exchanged vows in the enchanting setting.

The fall palette was brought to life with decor and floral arrangements from The Bloom Room. Guest were greeted with small pumpkins with place cards pinned to them on the entryway table covered in moss. Guest tables were draped in chocolate linen and paired with brilliant white garden chairs creating a striking contrast. The same arrangements seen decorating the aisleway for the ceremony were also used to decorate the centers of the guest tables with a few taller arrangements that included some strands of white dendrobium orchids and vibrant orange makara orchids. Whitney and Joey's sweetheart table was draped in a pretty latte hued linen with small flickering votives nestled in beds of moss and vibrant orange makara orchids adorning the tabletop. Twinkle lights wrapped around all the exposed wooden beams of the open-air veranda providing a festive glow to the reception. The Biltmore created a gorgeous three tier chocolate confection with white rose sugar flower garland around the middle tier and decorative white accents around the other two tiers. In addition to the wedding cake a dessert table filled with delectable treats in apothecary jars satisfied guest's sweet tooth with Snickers, Twix, M&M's and homemade cookies from Whitney's mother.
