Stylish Bride -- Vintage Glam

One of our favorite real wedding brides, Lauren Reba, proves that a great look doesn't have to cost a fortune. With a little ingenuity and a lot of style, she created a distinctly glamourous look with a $50 dress for her winter nuptials.

"My dress is actually a 1950's vintage piece from a store called, I kid you not, The Electric Blender. It cost $50 bucks," she says. She worked with a tailor to customize her frock, adding "a ridiculous amount of crinoline," pieces of her Swedish great-grandmother's wedding dress and a rose on the bodice. She paired the resulting party dress with retro fishnets, pearls, shoes she hand-painted and a striking deep red rose blossom pinned into her hair.

Lauren's wedding was featured in the Winter, 2007 issue of Weddings Unveiled, with photographs by Martha Manning for Tamara Lackey Photography.
