Real Wedding ~ Alicia and Dallas

Alicia and Dallas were married on Seabrook Island in a detail-packed affair photographed by Gene Ho Photography and designed by the talented team at Duvall Catering & Event Design. Blending traditional Southern charm with a chic modern aesthetic, the event was created in a unique palette of white, gray and silver with accents of black, teal and peridot. Alicia's bridesmaids carried tightly formed bouquets of green roses and wore strapless cocktail dresses in dove gray with black pumps and black floral necklaces. Alicia wore a figure-hugging gown with a trumpet silhouette, gentle ruching all over and a plunging v-neckline. She added a peacock feather hairpiece and carried a bouquet of white anemones with bold black centers. Dallas and his groomsmen wore black suits with pale gray ties and anemone boutonnieres.

The reception was held on the manicured lawn of Alicia's family home where guest tables were covered in crisp white linens and set with gloss black chivari chairs. A clear tent was draped along the sides with sheer white fabric with crystal chandeliers and white and black drum pendant lights hung at its center. Centerpiece and accent floral arrangements were created using a variety of white and green blooms, including roses, ranunculus, spider mums and orchids in mercury glass, green glass, turquoise glass and clear glass vessels. Lounge and cocktail areas were created in groups of sleek white cubes and couches paired with gleaming silver tables and accent pillows in teal silk and gray damask. A dessert bar was served indoors where the unique two-tier wedding cake formed the centerpiece surrounded by a selection of sweet treats displayed on Alicia's grandmother's silver platters. Don't miss a single detail of Alicia and Dallas' exquisite affair, including Dallas' sweet serenade while Alicia danced with her father. Enjoy!

REAL WEDDINGS: CARLINA AND ALEJANDRO

CREDITS

Venue and Catering by Toro, Boston MA
Carlina's shoes by Joan and David
Earrings by NYX
Carlina's ring by E Scott Originals

Carlina and Alejandro had a stylish, funky little ceremony under a giant (fake) bull's head at Toro in Boston's South End. After the ceremony, Margaret and Max of Unusually Fine Photography abducted the pair for a quick shoot in a small park nearby. Carlina couldn't be any cuter: that dress from BCBG is ridiculously adorable. And check out the confetti. Oh, and the food. Alejandro is, after all, a pastry chef in Singapore. . . .

Andrea and Joe had their first date in Chicago after they met on Match.com. They proved to be a perfect match and returned to the city for their fun engagement session, photographed by our good friend, Caroline Ghetes. From the urban streets of downtown Chicago to a playful series of images on the banks of Lake Michigan, this sweet couple's love shines in every single image. We especially like the image of Andrea twirling as Joe affectionately looks on. To see more of Andrea and Joe's engagement session, visit the Caroline Ghetes Photography blog!

WU: What was your favorite wedding and why?

S&E: Our favorite wedding so far was a spring wedding in uptown Charlotte. The wedding was a traditional southern style wedding, with a modern feel. From the fancy fried chicken to the crystal chandeliers that hung from the tentless tent structure…no detail was overlooked! The guests sipped on “Southern Punch” and were entertained all night by a great party band.

S&E: We love them all! Whether a Downtown wedding in Charlotte or a Historic Plantation in Charleston; each allows us to put our creative touch on it. If we had to pick just one…our all time favorite wedding is one that would allow us to step out side the box and journey down a road with a couple that we have not been before.

WU: Tell us three things you can't live without.

S&E: Work….Cell phone, Laptop & Coffee!!! Personal….Husbands, Vacations & Champagne!!!

WU: What is the best advice anyone has ever given you?

S&E: Nothing worth having is easily obtained.

WU: What is the best advice you can give to an engaged couple?
