Real Wedding ~ Heather and Mike

Heather and Mike found inspiration in their venue, incorporating pretty nautical details into their wedding day festivities at the Harbour Ridge Yacht Club, photographed by Jessica Lorren Organic Photography. The event was designed in a palette of navy blues, pastel greens and white, using organic and nautical elements, such as raffia, wood and brass. Heather wore a retro-chic strapless dance dress with a sweetheart neckline and a full skirt. She added a pair of peep toe pumps and carried a full bouquet of white peonies. Her bridesmaids wore pastel green party dresses in a similar silhouette and carried bouquets of white and green hydrangea. Mike and his groomsmen wore khaki trousers, white button downs and black neckties fashioned with a tie clip. Mike added a jacket to his ensemble and his best man wore a vest in the same khaki hue. They added navy blue Vans and navy and green argyle socks. Heather and Mike exchanged vows in an open-air ceremony with sweeping views of the water. Ceremony programs printed in fresh green were attached to natural raffia fans and white garden chairs lined the aisle, marked by dramatic arrangements of palm fronds.

We love the brass compasses made into clever place cards, displayed with a sign that read, "Where in the World am I sitting?" Table number were created using images of Heather and Mike from their travels around the world, labeled with the city and country. Tables were covered in crisp white linens, set with centerpieces made by Harbour Bay Florist using a variety of light green blooms in glass vases and silver nautical lanterns. Cupcakes with white frosting held miniature nautical flags and vintage suitcase displayed retro postcards.
