Real Wedding ~ Keri and Ryan

The palette in this lovely Charleston, SC wedding is like a cool breeze on a hot summer day... literally. It's no secret that August in Charleston is likely to be a bit warm, but Keri and Ryan's summer soiree looks fresh and easy in these beautiful images by Kristin Byrum Photography. The event was designed in a palette of pastel blues and a variety of bright greens accented by natural tones, navy and yellow. Keri wore a form-fitting lace gown with a mermaid silhouette and a dramatic tiered train, while her bridesmaids wore knee-length party dresses in pale blue. Their bouquets were created using white roses, green hydrangea and green cymbidium orchids tied with satin ribbon. Kerri added her great-grandmother's brooch to her bouquet and wore a pair of canary yellow slingback heels with a bow at the toe. Ryan and his groomsmen wore khaki summer suits with palm tree ties in light green and blue by Vineyard Vines.

Keri and Ryan exchanged vows at The First Baptist Church of Charleston where the decor was created to blend seamlessly with the historic interior. The altar was set with a row of tall arrangements in glass cylinders and an evenly spaced row of flickering votives. The three center arrangements were made of massed white blooms, while the outer two were made of curly willow branches scattered with white blooms. The reception was held at the Carolina Yacht Club where nautical navy and yellow played a greater role in the decor. A wooden sign lead the way to the party where guest tables were covered in crisp white linens and set with centerpiece arrangements of yellow floating candles and submerged green flowers in glass cylinders. Each place setting of white china featured monogrammed menus printed in navy ink folded into navy linen napkins. Keri and Ryan's chairs were labeled with "Mr." and "Mrs." signs in navy and white, fastened by navy and white striped ribbon. The spectacular four tier cake made by Ashley Bakery was placed in front of the fireplace as the centerpiece of the event. Fluffy white poms were hung overhead and the mantle was decorated with magnolia greenery and tall arrangements of white flowers in glass cylinders tied with navy and white striped ribbon. Don't miss a single detail, including Keri and Ryan's pedicab getaway after the reception and the colorful flip-flops provided for guests at the reception. Many thanks to Kristin Byrum Photography for sharing this pretty wedding with us!
