Real Wedding ~ Kindra and Patrick

It was a beautiful spring day in Wilmington, NC, for Kindra and Patrick's wedding photographed by Amanda and Brent with Millie Holloman Photography. The amazing team at Salt Harbor Designs created a pretty, detail packed event in a cheery palette of tangerine, white and green with accents of natural tones in deep brown and khaki. Kindra wore a lovely strapless gown with tiers of soft ruffles and a sweetheart neckline. She added an elbow length veil and carried a vibrant bouquet of orange, white and green flowers, including apple green hydrangea, burnt orange tulips, ranunculus, ruffly white sweet peas and kumquats. Her bridesmaids wore knee-length strapless party dresses in celadon green, while Patrick and his groomsmen wore classic black suits and boutonnieres made of a trio of kumquats with tiny leaf accents wrapped in twine. The outdoor ceremony took place at the beautiful Airlie Gardens where white garden chairs lined the aisle, hung with arrangements of hydrangea, viburnum and kumquats in moss covered vessels. The ring bearer carried a pillow of moss wrapped in a strip of burlap with tiny kumquats in the center where the rings were tied on with twine.

The reception was held at the Blue Water Grill where Salt Harbor Designs transformed the venue using elements in the event's vibrant palette. Guest tables were draped with khaki linens and set with rattan chargers, while a variety of papergoods printed in whimsical green script provided accents everywhere from the guest tables to the favors. Crisp white napkins were folded and tied with twine, accented by a single orange mokara orchid blossom, while centerpieces varied from low boxed arrangements of hydrangea, berries, kumquats, viburnum, orchids and ranunculus set in white ceramic vessels to tall arrangements of deep orange anemones, viburnum and hydrangea in tall cylindrical glass vessels filled with clementines. Tall glass hurricanes filled with a bed of moss and white pillar candles added warm lighting, along with collections of votives scattered on the tables. Guests found wooden bins packed with take-home favors of plantable paper, along with the instructions to "take one and plant it!". Kindra and Patrick's three-tier wedding cake made by Flower & Flour was covered with green vines and tiny yellow blossoms.
