We absolutely {heart} Kelly and Devin's Dallas, TX nuptials photographed by Nine Photography and planned by Significant Events of Texas. Devin and Kelly spent the majority of their courtship apart while Devin toured the country with his band and they found inspiration in their long-distance relationship. Their wedding was designed with a vintage travel theme using hand-crafted DIY decor elements and a selection of vintage details in a soft palette of pretty pastels. Kelly's strapless gown featured a rich texture of embroidery and tonal floral appliques on the bodice and scattered on the A-line skirt. She added a pair of brilliant cobalt heels, along with a floral fascinator with a cameo brooch and birdcage veil attached. Her bridesmaids wore soft knee-length party dresses in pale yellow and carried bouquets of gathered baby's breath, while Kelly carried a bouquet of mixed pastel blooms. Devin and his groomsmen wore vests and pants in vintage gray wool plaid with their sleeves rolled up to their elbows Mad Men style. One groomsman added a pageboy cap, while Devin added a blue plaid tie.Globes, maps, vintage train cases and suitcases were used as decor throughout the event, including one suitcase filled with "departure planes, which guests flew at the couple during their exit. Long reception tables were covered in white linens and set with painted wooden planks at the center as a base for centerpieces. Bows & Arrows florist created arrangements of pastel blooms in mason jars scattered throughout the reception on the tables and accent vingnettes mixed with packages of vintage post cards, standing globes and patterned paper squares. Elena's Cakes created a sweet four tier wedding cake with robin's egg blue piped detailing. A smilebooth was made with a backdrop of maps and travel inspired props, providing endless entertainment for Kelly, Devin and their guests. Don't miss a single DIY detail, including the ledger used as a guest book and the program booklets bound with striped twine.
