Stationery designer Erika Firm of Delphine sent us this lovely styled photo shoot titled Vino e Formaggio, which means "wine and cheese" in Italian. As soon as we saw it, we imagined a village wedding in the Tuscan countryside or perhaps in Sicily, followed by an afternoon spent enjoying food, friends and family. Erika and florist Adrianne Smith created this inspired eventscape photographed by Jennifer Dery using a palette of muted neutrals and pastels mixed with wheels of cheese, natural textures such as rattan and carved wood and romantic details such as books, vintage keys, a vintage suitcase and acoustic guitar. The images have an aged feel, adding to the soft palette of green, pink, lavender and coral paired with distressed metallics and a selection of fabrics, including linen, burlap and cashmere. The florals feature repeated appearances of one of our favorite blooms, the Café au Lait Dahlia and if you look closely, you'll see a feline friend curiously sniffing the loaves of bread. A sweetheart table covered in a handmade linen tablecloth was set with polished sterling silver, a mixed place setting of china and delicate crystal and candles and flowers in a variety of vintage mercury glass vessels. Jars and vintage glasses were used to display nuts, olives and cornichons, while heavy wooden cutting boards displayed cheeses from all over the world. We love the hand-written menu displayed on a curling wire frame, along with letterpress place cards and gift tags featuring a hydrangea motif letterpessed on cotton paper.
