We love everything about Virginia and Eric's traditional Southern soiree photographed by Gayle Brooker and coordinated by the talented team at Kristin Newman Designs. Virginia wore a beautiful strapless sweetheart gown with gently ruched bust and full A-line skirt with feathered tulle tiers and floral embroidery. She added a pearl necklace, white blossoms in her hair and an exquisite Chantilly lace floor length veil. The bridesmaids wore deep navy figure-hugging gowns with pleated crumb catcher neckline, while the maid of honor wore the same in a silver hue that matched the sashes of the flower girls wearing white dresses and floral garland halos. Eric and his groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos with white button downs paired with black and white polka dot bowties. The traditional ceremony took place at the spectacular St. Philip's Episcopal Church where the two exchanged vows at the alter flanked by two tumbling arrangements of white blooms set on columns and the soft flickering of candlelight from the candelabras. The happy couple exited the church to cheers from their guests and a gospel choir singing as they paraded down the streets of Charleston to the reception at Hibernian Society Hall.The historic national landmark provided a gorgeous venue for the couple's stunning Southern soiree. The event was designed in a striking palette of deep navy, brilliant white and powder blue, accented by natural tones of green and silver. Guest tables were draped in powder blue linens and set with deep mahogany chiavari chairs. Florist Gathering Events created a mixture of low square glass arrangements of white ranunculus with glossy green leaves lining the vases and tall arrangements with strands of dendrobium orchids, calla lilies and full white orchid blooms providing the centerpieces for the tables. Lounge seating was created all around the space from white couches wrapped around mirrored glass tables holding tall arrangements of curly willow, long stemmed calla lilies and orchids to intimate areas with couches, coffee tables and candlelight nestled under a canopy of navy fabric adorned with crystal chandeliers from its center. Wedding Cakes by Jim Smeal created a magnificent five tier confection with alternating tiers of blue and gold stripes nestled between layers of cake inspired by the feathered and floral embroidered tiered skirt of Virginia's gown.
