Mindy and Chris married in a chic and sophisticated rooftop wedding at The Renaissance Hotel overlooking downtown Columbus photographed by C Studios. The event design was created by Bliss Wedding and Event Design in a stylish palette of black and white punctuated with pops of color in fuchsia. The colorful palette and soft blooms in the decor played contrast to the sleek urban setting of the downtown Columbus skyline. Mindy wore a strapless silk satin gown by Kenneth Pool with low-dropped waist ballgown, pleated satin bust and crystal embellishments at the empire waist and hip. She carried a bouquet of fragrant white roses, while her bridesmaids carried similar monochromatic bouquets in fuchsia that created a striking contrast against their chic black cocktail dresses. Silver chiavari chairs were set for the rooftop ceremony where fuchsia pomanders hung from white ribbon on the end of the chairs decorating the aisle. Under a brilliant white canopy trimmed in black and adorned with ivory and fuchsia pomanders hanging from the roof, Mindy and Chris exchanged vows on the spectacular rooftop setting.
Bliss Weddings and Event Design created an upscale cocktail party for the reception with a mixture of highboy tables and low small rounds situated around the rooftop draped in a variety of linens from fuchsia crinkle taffeta to white with black embroidered detailing all set with black chiavari chairs. Arrangements varied from low square glass vases filled with fuchsia peonies and calla lilies on the cocktail tables to tall full arrangements of hydrangea, peonies, stargazer lilies and roses that adorned the food tables created by florist Flowers on Orchard Lane. Jan Kish created an exquisite five confection with black damask print design that created a stunning contrast to the all white base and for a pop of color to complete the event palette a topper was made from fuchsia roses. The stylish rooftop reception began with a spectacular saber champagne toast that started the celebration. As the sun went down the rooftop was illuminated by the city skyline and guests danced into the late hours to the Controversy band only stopping for a late night snack courtesy of White Castle.
