Real Wedding ~ Shae and Brian

Shae and Brian married in a sophisticated rooftop affair at The Mint Museum in Charlotte, NC photographed by Kristin Vining Photography. Designed in a striking palette of fuchsia, black and white every detail of the event, including the couple's attire featured the bold color combination. Shae wore a strapless mermaid fitted gown with ruched bodice and tiered ruffled skirt from J. Major's that she paired with fuchsia heels, a chunky pearl necklace and a birdcage veil with floral and feather fascinator. Brian dressed in classic Rock n' Roll style with an all black suit with black button down that he paired with brilliant white suspenders and a necktie, finishing his look off with patent leather black and white dress shoes. The ceremony took place on the rooftop with views of the downtown Charlotte skyline where the celebration continued with the couple's first dance on the black and white checkerboard dance floor. Guests danced the night away to music by Split Second Sound until the night ended with Brian carrying Shae as they exited The Mint Museum with family and friends holding signs of well wishes to the happy couple. FROM ENGLAND WITH LOVE

Face it, we all have a soft spot for kids.  Stephanie Staub, already well-known in the UK for her Little Eglantine line has just unveiled pieces from the summer 2011 collection..Here's the 'Gallia' green flower girl dress and 'William' green page boy outfit.
The white silk taffeta flower girl dress, with a peter pan collar, puff sleeves and pale green sash is perfect for summer weddings . . .

The 'William' green page boy is made of a ¾ length sleeved shirt, a pair of shorts, both in white cotton, an a pale green taffeta cummerbund to match the girl’s dress.

“I very much like the harmony of white and green. I find it very gentle and refreshing” the designer says.
What makes Little Eglantine so unique not only lies in the exceptional and innovative designs Stephanie offers, but also in the choice of her embroidered, or plain silk taffeta fabrics.

With her attention to detail and refinement, the designer will help you choose and develop designs that will look beautiful and exquisite on children.
“I approached Stephanie without a clear idea or colour scheme for my wedding and she came up with the perfect idea for the wedding. It was all down to her keen eye for colour which was perfect on the day.

The garments were beautifully crafted, original and bespoke. Totally unlike anything one would find in a retail establishment.” A bride

Paloma's Nest For the Gentlemen

One of our favorite wedding finds, Paloma's Nest has recently come out with a brand new collection of modern heirlooms and this time it's for the men with the For the Gentlemen collection. Comprised of cuff links, lapel pins and boutonniere tile's this new collection continues the concept of modern heirlooms with a collection of designs that is entirely for the groom and groomsmen on the wedding day. The new collection is a true marriage of wood and clay as Paloma's Nest designer, Caroline created the new collection in collaboration with her husband, Jose who brought his design talents and woodworking skills to this creative endeavour. We've completely fallen in love with the new line, especially the handcrafted initial inscribed cufflinks which would be the perfect wedding day gift to your groom. Bridal Session ~ Julia

Earlier this week we posted Julia and James' amazing styled engagement session and now we have more from the incredible shoot with Julia's vintage inspired bridal session. We absolutely adore the idea of a bride taking her bridal session in a vintage gown and Julia did exactly that wearing her mother's wedding gown that looked stunning on the new bride. Wearing her engagement ring that features the diamond from James' late mother's wedding ring and dressed in her own mother's vintage gown, Julia looked absolutely breathtaking in this series of images captured by Ashley Maxwell Photography. With a few modern elements including her gold ballet flats and blush toned floral fascinator Julia gave the gown an updated look, while still keeping true to the gorgeous vintage design.
