Meghan and Van were married in the spectacular historic Halcyon House located in Georgetown Washington, DC. Their stylish affair was photographed by Love Life Images and planned by Atrendy Wedding designed in a chic palette of black and white accented with elements in silver. With its cavernous ceiling and concrete walls the studio space of the Halcyon House where the ceremony took place was the complete opposite of the lush gardens and meticulously decorated rooms of the rest of the home, but the ideal space for Meghan and Van's sophisticated modern wedding. In the center of four concrete columns adorned with wreaths of white hydrangea and strands of crystals the couple exchanged vows standing on a mirrored floor and under a black chandelier. The space was then transformed for the reception with flowers, furniture and decor from Capital Decor and Events. Guest tables were covered with black linens and set with black chiavari chairs. Low white arrangements of calla lilies, hydrangea and roses decorated the center of the tables, while a mixture of votive candles and black lacquered candlesticks provided a glow over the tables. White fabric hung from the walls softening the harsh concrete and providing a blank canvas for washes of lighting cast around the room creating a warmth to the space .
