Ok really, have you ever seen a happier, more beautiful couple? Amy and Forrest were married on Pawleys Island, SC in a pretty Lowcountry affair photographed by our good friend, Ruth Rackley. Amy wore a body-hugging strapless gown with a mermaid silhouette, gently ruched bodice and full, gathered skirt. She wore her hair in a loosely gathered chignon with simple jewelry and carried a large bouquet of green and white blooms. Her bridesmaids wore brilliant turquoise party dresses , while the groomsmen kept it casual in khaki trousers and white shirts. With his long hair pulled back into a sleek knot, Forrest wore traditional Southern seersucker with a white button down and an aquamarine bowtie. Everyone went barefoot for the seaside ceremony where Forrest and Amy exchanged vows beneath a dramatic canopy made of driftwood, dried palm fronds and succulents created by Blossoms Events. The outdoor reception was held at Forrest's childhood home with an event palette of muted natural hues accented by lavender, pink, ruby and green. Rustic farmhouse tables were paired with dark stained chivari chairs and set with small arrangements of light green hydrangea, pink and lavender peonies and ruby red azalea in aged terracotta pots mingled with sun-bleached curly willow branches. Their exquisite wedding cake, made by the talented Jim Smeal, was placed in the garden between a blossoming hedge and the bubbling fountain. The four tier confection was created in white and cappucino hues with alternating designs of stripes and intricate damask piping. A clear tent accented by twinkling white lights framed views of the night sky as everyone made their way to the dance floor. Amy changed into a short party dress for the reception, pairing it with bright green cowboy boots.
