Jamie and Adam were married in a beautiful ceremony in Martha's Vineyard for their destination nuptials photographed by our good friends, Our Labor of Love. Jamie wore a simple but elegant gown by designer Jenny Yoo and carried a gorgeous bouquet of gathered white tulips, roses and fresh green hypericum berries created by her grandmother who made all the floral arrangements for the day. For the intimate ceremony of 36 guests, Jamie and Adam decided to include each guest in their wedding party and asked them all to wear black, which created the base to their wedding day palette of black, pristine white, fresh green and accents of neutral tones. The men all wore matching ties and socks as well as handmade felt boutonnieres created by Botonicopia, while the ladies wore wooden beaded necklaces created by the bride. The breathtaking ceremony took place on the lush green lawn outside Gay Head Lighthouse with a stunning view of the Clay Cliffs. We love the sunkist images of Jamie and Adam walking up the winding staircase of the lighthouse and of them in Adam's fire engine red vintage '64 Ford Thunderbird that they used as their getaway car following the ceremony.The reception at The Wallen House was as intimate as the ceremony with long family style tables dressed in pristine white linens with a natural linen table runner and lined with wood chairs creating a striking contrast. Gathered arrangements of greenery and pristine white blossoms in an array of floral varieties including tulips, roses, lysimachia and hypericum were tucked into mason jars and scattered throughout the tables creating a lovely centerpiece. Silver nautical lanterns lined the stairwell and provided a warm glow for the intimate dinner reception. Guests were treated to a good old fashioned clambake dinner catered by Bill Smith's Martha's Vineyard Clambake Co. Lobster, corn on the cob and chowder were all on the menu and for dessert, pies from Eileen Blake's Pies and Otherwise provided a sweet treat to end the night.
