Kelly and Paul's Washington DC wedding was planned entirely by the bride, who is a part of the fabulous team at Ritzy Bee Events, and photographed by our talented friend, Adam Barnes. Kelly wore a romantic lace gown by Priscilla of Boston with a soft trumpet silhouette, removable cap sleeves and a wide sash at the waist fastened by a sparking brooch. She carried a full bouquet of mixed green and white blooms and her bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the same. They wore cocktail dresses in bold magenta, while Paul and his groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos with green and white striped bowties. Kelly and Paul exchanged vows at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Capitol Hill, in a traditional ceremony, then made their way to The Hay-Adams hotel for their reception.The event was designed in a palette of fresh green and white with both indoor and outdoor spaces. Cocktail hour was held on the terrace beneath a white tent where highboys and small round tables were set with white chiavari chairs and covered in a mix of floral patterned and solid apple green linens. Lounge areas were created using light beige sectional sofas with white and green accent pillows and polished coffee tables set with small white and green floral arrangements. Dinner was served indoors where guest tables were covered in apple green crinkle taffeta linens. Select tables were covered with white lace overlays, allowing hints of the vibrant green to show through from underneath. Helen Olivia created a variety of centerpieces arrangements in glass vases and white filigreed lanterns using white and green blooms, including hydrangea and a mixture of roses. Crystal chandeliers and votives gave the room a warm glow, while brilliant patterned lighting by Atmosphere danced around the room throughout the evening.
