Coincidentally, both heirs to the throne changed the British monarchy around a little for the women they loved. Neither woman was young by the way and both felt more at ease donning some form of tailored look on their wedding day. Wallis Simpson's low key wedding called for a pale blue crepe suit created by Mainbocher, the American designer who set up shop in Paris in the 1930s. The skirt was to the floor and cut on the bias. Camilla wore two versions of tailored chic for her wedding; one for the civil marriage ceremony and the other for the service at Westminster. Both designs were more like coat and dress ensembles. While photographers seem to love shooting this woman in the midst of what looks like she's cussing out press, on her wedding day she was so radiant she almost looked 19 again.
