Meredith and John's lovely Bald Head Island wedding was photographed by Whitebox Weddings and coordinated by A Southern Soiree. The event was designed in a muted palette inspired by the natural seaside setting in white, ivory and pale greens with sky blue accents. Meredith wore a romantic lace gown by Jenny Lee with a champagne sash by Monique Lhuillier and a gorgeous pair of diamond teardrop earrings, while John wore a black suit with a pale mint green tie and a boutonniere made from a tiny starfish and a blue ribbon. The ceremony was held on the verandah at The Shoals Club with a view of the dunes covered in maritime foliage, the long boardwalk and the South Beach point of the island where currents meeting from opposite directions provide spectacular crashing waves. The property's arbors were decorated with masses of flowering fines, providing a soft, lush texture and cozy pashminas were provided for warmth in case the evening turned cool. The reception was situated near the ocean in a clear tent with a dramatic view of the night sky. The rafters of the tent's ceiling were strung with garden lights, while capiz flower globes hung from the center and gleaming nautical lanterns were placed at focal points. The tables were dressed in crisp white linens with floral arrangements of white peonies created by Kim Fisher.
