Heather and Orin's beautiful, detail-filled wedding was held on Bald Head Island in NC, one of our all-time favorite destinations. One of our editors regularly vacations on Bald Head and the Weddings Unveiled Summer 2009 fashion editorial was photographed on the island's spectacular South Beach. We can't get enough of these spectacular, sun-drenched images created by Amanda and Brent for Millie Holloman Photography. Heather's lovely look included a pretty Vera Wang gown accented by pastel green pumps, a lovely birdcage veil and a bouquet of white, green and charcoal blooms. Her bridesmaids wore black party dresses to compliment the charmingly retro seersucker jackets, black bowties and black pants on the groomsmen. Florist and designer Kim Fisher created a contemporary beach ceremony design in a palette of cream, white, green and charcoal with a canvas canopy edged in charcoal piping as its centerpiece. Straw hats and parasols shaded guests during the sunny nuptials on the lawn by the Harbourside Pavilion.Heather and Orin opted for a bit more color for their reception and with the help of Kim Fisher Designs, the Harbourside Pavilion was transformed for the celebration in a brilliant palette of pink, green and orange. Summer snapdragons and dahlias were set in round hedges of wheat grass, while glass lanterns were filled with similar arrangements and candles to create unique centerpieces. Large paper lanterns were hung from the ceiling for an airy atmosphere and a picture station with a blackboard backdrop and angel wings kept everyone entertained.
