The blue bridesmaids above are a great case in point of how this is done within the blue range. Cohesive dressing is still the standard. If the bride is in a cotton dress, her maids aren't likely to be in shiny satin. Typically, bridemaid dresses should never be longer or more intricate than the bride's, but I'm sure this tradition will soon be tested somewhere.
